Description

The Jubilee Fountain, located to the north of Pierce's Memorial, is a painted cast iron fountain set within a circular petal-shaped basin, also made of cast iron. The fountain is designed in the shape of an opening tulip and stands approximately 1.5 meters tall. It features a moulded base on a circular plinth, with cast plaques on each face commemorating notable figures: 'Victoria Jubilee 1887'; 'Victoria, Crown Princess of Germany'; 'Alice, Grand Duchess of Hesse'; 'Helena, Princess Christian of Schleswig-Holstein'; 'Louise, Marchioness of Lorne'; 'Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh'; 'Leopold, Duke of Albany'; and 'Beatrice, Princess Henry of Battenberg.'
