Description
Arosfa, located at Nos 78 and 80 Vale Street, is a pair of buildings constructed from snecked limestone blocks. They feature a continuous graded slate roof and brick chimneys with dentilated upper sections, with one chimney lateral to no. 78 and the other central to no. 80. Each unit has an entrance with a boarded door that includes a glazed upper section, and both have a canopy porch supported on brackets.
To the right of the entrance is a storeyed, canted bay window that has slate-hanging in the center and a bracketed, projecting gable, also slate-hung. The windows consist of 12-pane central sashes and 8-pane outer sashes, all horned. The left-hand unit, no. 80, features an additional 12-pane sash window above the entrance on the first floor, which breaks the eaves and is set within a low hipped dormer. To the far left, there is an arched entrance with a boarded door that provides access to a through-passage leading to the rear.
