Description

The Limekiln is a square-fronted structure, approximately 7 meters high and 8 meters wide, built from local limestone. It features a single working archway at the front, which is set beneath a deep segmental arch with a span of about 2.5 meters. The recess has stone side walls and a brick front. There is a firing hole located below and a draw hole above, which is supported by a cast iron beam.
