Description

Ty Hwnt Yr Afon is a two-storey house featuring rough-cast render that has been painted white. The roof is made of graded courses of small grey and russet slates sourced from Gallt y Llan quarry in Snowdon. There are two groups of chimneys made from brown brick; the left group has a taller stack on the ridge accompanied by two lower stepped stacks, while the right group has a single tall stack.

The front elevation includes two gabled dormers, each fitted with a small pane replacement window beneath a drip mould. The roof overhangs the front wall on corbels but is flush at the gable ends of the house. The roof slopes down on the left over a porch, which is now glazed. The porch roof is hipped and supported by masonry piers. The entrance doorway is square-headed with a boarded light oak door, and there is a small-pane window to the left of the porch (replacement). To the right of the porch, there are two three-light small pane casement windows flanking a narrower window, all of which are replacements and feature drip moulds.

On the right (southeast) elevation, there is a small pane replacement window on the first floor with a drip mould above it. The ground floor has a semi-hexagonal bay with a small-slate roof and small pane replacement windows.

At the rear, there is a garage constructed in matching materials and style.
