Description
Araulfan is a two-storey house with a rough cast render that has been painted white. The roof is made of graded courses of small grey and russet slates sourced from Gallt y Llan quarry in Snowdon. It features two tall chimney stacks made of brown brick located on the ridge.
The front elevation includes two gabled dormers with small pane metal windows beneath drip moulds. The roof overhangs the front wall on corbels but is flush at the gable ends of the house. The roof slopes down to the left over a porch, which has a hipped roof supported on the right by a wooden post. The entrance doorway is square-headed and retains its original boarded door. To the left of the porch, there is a polygonal bay with five sides, which clasps the angle of the building and is covered by a roof of small slates. The windows in the bay are small pane metal casements. To the left of the porch, there are three additional small pane metal casement windows. The elevation to the right (south) features small pane metal casement windows and a pointed arched doorway.
