Description

Coedfa is a two-storey house featuring rough-cast grey render and small-pane metal casement windows. The roof is made of graded courses of small dark blue slates sourced from Gallt y Llan quarry in Snowdon, and there is a central chimney stack made of red-brown brick.

The entrance front, which faces Close, has paired gables with outer slopes that extend down over the ground floor at a lower pitch. The first floor has tall windows, while the ground floor features a central internal porch beneath a pointed arch, leading to a pointed arched doorway. The porch is flanked by broad small-pane casement windows. To the left, there are two windows that light the main room. The right elevation includes, to the left, a single almost square window, and to the right, a pointed arched doorway leading to a shallow porch with square-headed doorways for the entrance and a storage area. At the rear, there are tall casement windows on each gable and small square windows for the bathroom and toilet below, which are supported by a pair of shallow buttresses and flanked by broad small-pane casement windows.

Inside, the polygonal entrance hall has built-in closets in the angles opposite the entrance doorway. The ground floor rooms feature open beamed ceilings. To the left of the entrance hall is a large living room with a pointed-arched fireplace, and to the right is the dining room. The entrance hall leads to the kitchen and pantry at the rear, with a staircase that is lit from the rear, leading up to four bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. The bedrooms have high ceilings and creatively utilize the steeply pitched roofs, with built-in eaves cupboards. All interior doors are boarded and battened in oak, equipped with wooden latches.
