Description
The War Memorial is a rusticated granite obelisk topped with a golden ball finial featuring flame cresting. Near the base, there are tablets listing the names of local men who died in the First and Second World Wars, with a stepped base supporting the structure. The memorial is flanked on the northwest and southeast by areas of ground that include low slender granite bollards. Additionally, there are four contemporary lamp standards, each with wide fluted circular shafts and moulded bases, topped with multi-ball glass lamp finials.
