Description
The War Memorial is an austere structure featuring a limestone obelisk on a plinth, inscribed to honor the men of the parish who died in the 1914-1918 war. It stands on a tall limestone chest with recessed panels on each side, while the front panel displays a painted brass memorial plate listing the names of the parish men who lost their lives in the First World War. The memorial is placed on a shallow limestone base and is surrounded by a small area in front of the Surgery, with short railings on each side topped with fleur de lys finials.
