Description
The outbuilding at Hendre-fawr, which includes yard walls, is a single-storey structure built of white painted stone rubble and topped with a slate roof. It features a single bay salting house at the southwest end, and a bakehouse, which may also have served as a brewhouse, at the northeast end. Two boarded doors face the farmhouse kitchen across the yard. The bakehouse has a small timber paned casement window and a gable light to the loft.
The yard is enclosed by walls, with a high retaining wall at the rear and a low stone-coped wall at the front, both featuring a central gate. Inside the salting house, there is a slate slab against the yard wall. The bakehouse contains a blocked oven in the rear wall and a stair leading to the loft.
