Description
Nos 1-4 Bodoryn Cottages are a row of estate cottages built around 1860-1870 for the Kinmel Estate, likely designed by the estate architect W E Nesfield. The cottages are arranged in an 'L' plan and constructed from pale local limestone with slate roofs. They are two storeys high, with each cottage featuring one bay, an off-centre boarded door, and a wide multi-paned living room window on the ground floor, which is set beneath a segmental stone relieving arch. The upper floor windows are smaller and are probably a mid-20th century replacement. The cottages also have pierced red clayware ridges.
In front of the cottages, there is a low stone wall with flush half-round copings. No 1, located at the western end of the row, includes a brick gable stack with two red clay pots and a short gabled rear wing.
