Description

Nos. 1-4 Bodoryn Cottages form a row of estate cottages built around 1860-70 for the Kinmel Estate, likely designed to a general plan by W.E. Nesfield, the estate architect. The cottages are arranged in an 'L' shape and are constructed from pale local limestone with slate roofs. Each of the two-storey cottages has one bay, featuring a boarded front door positioned slightly off-centre, and a wide, multi-paned living room window on the ground floor, set beneath a segmental stone relieving arch. Smaller upper-floor windows are likely replacements from the mid-20th century. Red clayware ridge tiles are pierced. A low stone wall with flush, half-round copings sits in front of the cottages. No. 3 shares a party wall with No. 2, featuring a six-flue stack, and includes a rear gabled wing with renewed glazing.
