Description

Nos 1-4 Bodoryn Cottages form a row of estate cottages built around 1860 to 1870 for the Kinmel Estate and likely designed under the direction of W E Nesfield, the estate architect. The row is arranged in an 'L' shape and constructed from pale local limestone with slate roofs.

The row consists of four cottages, each originally one bay wide. The ground floor features a boarded front door located off-centre, and a wide living room window beneath a segmental stone relieving arch. Upper floor windows are smaller, and are likely replacements from the mid-20th Century. The roof ridges are finished with pierced red clayware. A low stone wall with rounded copings stands in front of the cottages.

No 4, situated at the eastern end of the row, is set at a right angle and has two bays. It has its entrance on the eastern side and features a central chimney stack. The upper window in the gable was replaced around 1960.
