Description

The Tower on Tower Hill is a circular structure built of local Carboniferous limestone. It features walls that are approximately 1.3 meters thick and rises from a low battered plinth to a height of about 10 meters. The tower has a diameter of 3 meters and consists of two storeys. There are door openings on the north and south sides, each with segmental heads. An offset in the wall supported the now-missing upper floor, which originally included one fireplace on each side, along with two square window openings, one beside each fireplace. The tower is topped with a parapet that has crenels.
