Description
Y Felin Wynt Tower is a circular tower made of rubble sandstone, standing approximately 3 meters high and 5 meters in diameter. The sides are vertical with slightly battered bases built on bedrock. There is a doorway on the south side, featuring a segmental head made of narrow stone voussoirs, but no other external openings. The top of the walls is finished with large flat coping stones that are connected by iron straps, shaped to fit the wall's circumference, and serve as a walkway.
Inside, the rock floor is exposed. To the left, a curving flight of stone steps leads up to the coping stones. There is a ledge 0.4 meters below the top, which also has stone copings. Two pairs of beam holes are positioned diametrically opposite each other, with their lintels formed by the copings of the ledge. Directly opposite the doorway and above the ledge, there is a semi-circular recess.
