Description

Hendre-Brys is a farmhouse with attached farm buildings, built of rubble stonework and finished with a whitewash. It has a slate roof and gable stacks. The house is dated to the 18th century and comprises two storeys and three bays. It features a central boarded entrance door flanked by 16-pane sash windows with painted squared stone lintels. The upper floor windows are 9-pane single sliding sash windows set directly under the eaves. The house is extended southward by a two-bay outbuilding, which includes an external stair. To the north, a three-bay building extends the structure, incorporating a barn and a cowhouse with a hayloft above, and accessed via an external stone stair. This north extension has a steeper pitched roof. Further extensions consist of two pig sties, with their front yard wall aligned with the cowhouse, all under slate roofs. The interior was not accessible at the time of inspection.
