Description
The range of buildings at Nant-y-creau is constructed of rubble stonework and features a slate roof. It is a single-storey structure with five bays and originally had an axial stack at the southern end, which has since been removed. Behind this stack is a small bay that now serves as a shearing shed, accompanied by a stone-walled pen that completes the farmyard.
The building includes a later large opening that leads to the farmyard, as well as several blocked openings to the east. These openings are characterized by deep squared stone lintels that are outlined with a label course, suggesting that the building may have been used as a stable in the 19th century.
Inside, there is a large axial fireplace with a lintel that has been opened through the back to connect with the shearing shed. There are also signs of an upper floor, which has since been removed.
