Description
Pont Rhydlydan is a bridge made of rubble stonework, featuring a single segmental arch that spans approximately 10.9 meters between low abutments over the Afon Merddwr. The arch consists of a single ring of voussoirs that are 0.5 meters deep, set back under a projecting regulating course, and it does not have a central keystone. The arch rises 3.4 meters above the water level. The bridge has flush spandrels and a parapet that turns sharply to end in square piers, with flush copings. The carriageway is humped and measures 5.7 meters wide between the 0.5-meter thick parapets. On the inside of the parapet, there is a datestone that reads EI ILL 1815.
