Description
Ty'r Ysgol is a one-and-a-half storey Domestic Revival schoolhouse that adjoins a former village school. It has a T-shaped plan, with the main section located on the east side, positioned at right angles to the school building. The structure is made of colourwashed rendered masonry and features gabled slate roofs. It has rectangular sandstone ashlar chimney stacks with widely chamfered quoins that end in splayed stops at the base. The ground floor includes four-light timber mullioned and transomed windows with subdivided casements and cambered heads. On the first floor, there are double casement windows set in camber-headed openings within gables and gabled half dormers. A single storey rendered porch is located at the internal angle of the south and west elevations, featuring a hipped slate roof, a boarded front door, and a four-pane side window. The interior was not accessible for inspection at the time of the resurvey.
