Description
Pen Uchar Llan is a row of three two-storey cottages, built with colourwashed roughcast rendered facades. They feature a slate gabled roof with clayware ridge tiles and brick chimney stacks. The front elevation faces north and has a regular arrangement of windows, including 8/12 and 12/12 cast iron windows with narrow glazing bars and centre-pivoted top lights, as well as 6/6 timber sash windows. Each front entrance is adorned with matching bracketed timber canopies that have slate roofs and gable trusses.
The end-of-terrace cottage is also two storeys and has a symmetrical front elevation facing north. It includes a central doorway with a part glazed timber door, topped by a bracketed timber canopy with a gable truss and slate roof. There is one bay of windows on each side of the door; the east side features an 8/12 cast iron window with fine glazing bars and a centre-pivoted top light on the first floor, while the remaining windows are late 19th century 6/6 timber double hung sashes.
The interior was not accessible for inspection at the time of the resurvey.
