Description
This is a row of three cottages located on Mirey Lane, dating from the early to mid 19th century. They are likely constructed of roughcast cob and feature a gabled-end slate roof. The cottages are arranged in a double-depth plan, currently consisting of one or two rooms wide, but they may have originally been a row of one-room wide cottages. There are two end stacks, an axial stack, and one rear lateral stack, all with brick shafts. The cottages are two storeys high.
The front facade has a total of seven windows, including one blocked window on the first floor. The remaining windows are all 16-pane hornless sashes. The ground floor features five similar windows and a late 19th-century canted bay with a 2:3:2 pane design on the left-hand cottage. Cottages one and two have half-glazed doors, while cottage three has a planked door with a rectangular fanlight. The right-hand cottage is accessed from Greenway and has two 16-pane hornless sash windows on the gable end, along with a small attic window.
