Description
Siop Ucha is a row of three two-storey cottages dating from the 19th century. They feature colourwashed roughcast rendered facades and have slate gabled roofs with clayware ridges and brick chimney stacks. The front elevation faces north and displays regular fenestration with 8/12 and 12/12 cast iron windows that have narrow glazing bars and centre-pivoted top lights, as well as 6/6 timber sash windows. Each front entrance is adorned with matching bracketed timber canopies that have slate roofs and gable trusses.
At the end of the terrace is a two-storey vernacular house with a gabled rear addition that is positioned at right angles to the terrace. This house also faces north and features three 8/12 cast iron windows with fine glazing bars and centre-pivoted top lights on the first floor, along with one 12/12 cast iron window of similar design on the ground floor. Additionally, there is a timber shop window that is subdivided into eight panes. The front door is nailed and boarded, and above the doorway is a bracketed timber canopy with a gable truss and slate roof.
The interior was not accessible for inspection at the time of the resurvey.
