Description
The Lodge is an octagonal building that serves as a house for Plas Heulog. It is a single storey with an attic and features a steeply pitched roof made of small slates arranged in graded courses. The roof has a central chimney group that is cruciform in plan, with a taller central stack made of brick and inclined slate rooflets venting to the sides.
The roof also includes four dormer windows, each with slated flared-gabled roofs and diapered slates on the faces of the gables. The walls are finished in roughcast render and painted white. A square-headed doorway faces the drive leading to Plas Heulog, and the ground floor windows have small pane casement glazing.
At the rear, there is a modern extension topped with a pyramidal slate roof. The interior was originally laid out with a lobby, kitchen, scullery, and bedroom on the ground floor, along with an additional bedroom in the attic.
