Neuadd Dyfrdwy (Normal College)

Neuadd Dyfrdwy, also known as Normal College, is a three-storey building with an attic and a five-bay front finished in cement render. It features a slate roof that has a swept-up ridge at the apices and swept boarded eaves. A louvred bellcote with a finial sits atop the building, alongside an off-centre cement rendered chimney stack located midway down the roof pitch. The central bay is taller and gabled, with kneelers, and more pronounced kneelers are present at the gable ends above tapered clasping buttresses that rise to the second floor level. The windows are small pane casements, with a stone mullioned window in the central gable. The staircase windows are stepped down and have dressed stone surrounds, featuring a 2+3+2-light grouping with the central three lights contained under a segmental pedimented architrave, which is lugged at the base. Raised lettering between the floors reads "Neuadd 1910 Dyfrdwy."

The ground floor has a broadly splayed five-light window, with the centre featuring half-glazed double doors in a splayed recess, and a four-light transomed window to the right. At the centre rear, there is a cross range that maintains similar architectural details and has a chimney stack rising through the gable. The ground floor is splayed across the junction of the cross range. The gable ends feature splayed attic oriels, with two-light windows below and four-light windows on the ground floor. Additionally, there is a single-storey arcaded and covered passage that adjoins the left gable end and turns to connect with the central Domestic and Dining Hall Range.
