Former Normal College Gymnasium (Gwynedd Technical College, Art & Design Section)

The Former Normal College Gymnasium, part of Gwynedd Technical College's Art & Design Section, is an asymmetrical single-storey building dating from the 20th century. It features a pebbledash exterior with an 8-bay gabled front and an attic at the center. The building has cement render dressings, including quoins and gable parapets, with flat buttresses that separate the central bays. The slate roofs are equipped with skylights, a ventilator, and cresting, while the chimney stacks, made of pebbledash, include a tapered lateral chimney breast positioned against a gabled projection.

The flat-roofed attic contains a 7-light small pane casement window and a segmental pediment. The gables at either end are stepped and shaped, adorned with finials; the right gable features Baroque scrolls. The left side has cross frame windows, which are a mix of sash and casement styles, while the right side includes a thermal window. The advanced lower gables between have plain bargeboards and applied timberwork, with 3-light windows.

The side elevations have three similarly gabled sections with overhanging eaves and small pane windows. The rear elevation mirrors the front with three gables on either end that step inward, featuring shaped outer gables and a central attic. There is a lower extension at the back and stone steps leading up to a modern entrance.

The front of the building is enclosed by iron railings, with square gate piers and gates at either end, featuring gall finials, vermiculated panels, and chamfered corners.
