Description
This is a cottage with an attached cowshed, likely built around 1840, with a later extension added to the rear around 1860. The cottage is constructed from whitewashed rubble stone and features a slate roof with a slurry coating, a rubble gable stack, and large pane sash windows. The cowshed has a corrugated sheet roof.
The cottage is single storey and consists of two units, with a central planked door flanked by windows. There is a single door offset to the left that leads to the cowshed. At the rear, there is an outshut with a roof that extends from the ridge to the main roof, featuring paired sash windows. A single rooflight is present on the cottage roof, along with a window to the left of the gable.
The later shallow pitched ear extension partially overlaps the cowshed and includes a rear door and a modern window on the side. The paired sash windows and the interior layout likely date from the 1860 remodelling.
