Description
Minafon is a late Georgian style, two-storey, three-bay house built of rubble stone, featuring a slate roof with bracketed gables and pebble-dashed end stacks. The symmetrical front has a narrower central entrance bay that projects, adorned with fret-cut barge boards and a finial, and its ridge is lower than that of the main house. The lower storey openings have brick segmental heads, and the entrance features a half-glazed door within a Gothic timber-framed porch. This porch includes open cusped panels, an upper tier of quatrefoils, and a bracketed hipped roof. The windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, except for a central 8-pane sash window in the upper storey, with the outer first-floor windows positioned beneath the eaves.
To the left gable end, there is an extension supported by steel posts, topped with a hipped roof and overhanging eaves. This extension has weatherboarded upper-storey sides but is otherwise glazed, featuring balconies on each storey. The right side of the main range includes a small window in the upper storey. Additionally, there is a one-storey projection at the right gable end, aligned with the main range, which has a 9-pane hornless sash window and a pebble-dashed gable end. The rear of the house has replacement small-pane sash windows. The property has not been inspected.
