Description
Gorphwysfa is a late-Georgian, two-storey house featuring one main section with three bays, constructed with pebble-dashed walls and a slate roof, complete with a stack on the right side. The main house has a slightly advanced gabled bay that is offset to the left of the center. There is a gabled, one-storey porch on the right side, which includes a half-glazed door, a 12-pane hornless sash window at the front, and a small-pane window on the left side. Inside, there is a modern boarded door beneath an original overlight. The windows in the main section are 12-pane hornless sashes. To the left, there is an additional bay, which may have once served as a granary in the upper storey, now featuring a 20th-century window in the lower storey. Attached at the rear is a lower two-storey house known as Lavender Cottage, which was formerly the Farmers Arms, positioned at right angles to Gorphwysfa.
