Description

Vernacular one-and-a-half storey cottage dated 1754. Of rich iron-stone rubble with slate roof and rubble gable parapet to the R; end chimneys with plain capping and weather-coursing. Off-centre entrance (to R) with modern part-glazed door; above this an inscribed sandstone plaque with date and initials IL P JI, recently strengthened. Flanking C20 windows, that to the L o f2-panes and that to the R a 4-pane casement. Above, 3 rubble gabled dormers with plain-glazed windows and plain bargeboards. Adjoining to the L a C19 brick and rubble lean-to with corrugated iron roof; boarded door and 4-pane sash to the L. To the R a former dairy addition with modern openings. Rendered rear with modern window.
