Description
Beudy'r Ddol is a building constructed of rounded boulders with minimal mortar and some galletting, characteristic of the Snowdonia area. It features a slate roof supported by raised gable walls with unshaped kneelers. The building has a rectangular plan, with a low door located centrally on the south end and a pitching door at the north end that leads to a former hay loft. Green rhyolite lintels are present, and there are two vents on the west side, which are now blocked.
The interior is undivided, with a former loft at the north end. There are three roof trusses, with the principals having a blade-like shape. Each has properly tenoned collar beams, with each joint secured by four pegs, and a round pole tie beam. The apex of the trusses is halved and pegged. The trusses support two tiers of squared purlins, and a slightly different truss survives at the north end, which may be somewhat earlier in date.
