Description
Gilfach is a two-storey building with an attic, constructed from local rubble stonework and topped with a slate roof. It features three bays, with a central door that has a plain overlight; this door was replaced in the 1930s. The ground floor has early 19th-century iron windows with 20 panes, where the central four panes are hinged, while the upper floor has 16-paned hornless sash windows, all of which are adorned with stone lintels. There is a blocked window at the southern end of the ground floor, and a small window in the gable provides light to the attic. The building has tall gable end stacks with drip ledges. It is connected to a modernised outbuilding on the left (south) end, which features an iron waterwheel on its gable end, and there is an additional single-storey cross range at the northern end, also modernised.
