Description

Field Cowhouse is constructed from heavy rounded boulders and features a slate roof with rooflights, along with an upstanding gable parapet at the west end. There is one low gable doorway.

Inside, the space is undivided. The roof consists of two trusses that create three bays. The trusses are 'A'-frame, with double pegged collars, and the feet of the blade-like principal rafters are set into the walls in a manner similar to quasi-crucks.
