Description
Yr ysgoldy at Maes-y-Pandy is a tall rectangular building with two storeys, constructed from local rubble stone and featuring a hipped slate roof. The lower floor includes two boarded doors with segmental voussoired heads, while above is an oval oculus that provides light to the upper floor. At the southeast end, there are external stone steps leading to a boarded door that accesses the upper chamber.
On the ground floor, there is a stone-lined culvert that runs the full length of the rear wall, which is partly paved over and has a small ledge above it. The first floor showcases two fine small-scale trusses made of principal rafters that cross at the apex and are joined by a curved collar, positioned at the apex of each hip.
