Description
The graveyard monument at the Church of St Michael is made of a weathered slab of local grey slate, which is supported by two composite stone drums. The monument is directly related to the recessed moulded panel in the east wall of the chancel above it. The inscription on the slab reads: "THISTO/MB:WERE:BURIED / GRACE PUGHE / ALIAS GRUIFFHS / VIGRLILL SEPTE/MBER 21 AD 1679(?) / IGMS FB 23 1691 / AND MARY PUGH / JUNE 19 1704 REDE / MPTOR NOSTER PVMFT(?)."
