Description

The granary at Ty'n-y-fach is a Grade II listed building constructed from rubble stonework and topped with a slate roof. The ground floor features a carthouse that has two cart openings in the gable end, which are separated by a stone pier and have sawn slate lintels. These openings face towards the house. An external stone stair on the rear elevation provides access to a door on the upper floor. This upper floor also includes a loading door in the gable end above the cart openings, as well as two 2-light paned sliding sash timber windows that overlook the farmyard. The building has a deep verge with exposed purlin ends.
