Description
The pigsties and pig kitchen at Fferm Cochwillan form an L-shaped plan, with the kitchen being the taller of the two buildings. They are constructed from irregularly coursed rubblestone and feature slate slab coping on the pens. The roofs are gable-ended and covered with slate, complete with coped verges and ridge ventilators. On the main yard side, there are three pens with doors leading to the interior, which is divided by stone cross walls. The pens also include slate and brick feeding troughs, along with iron gates. The kitchen has a doorway on the left, which now has a sliding metal door, a roughly central brick stack, and an 8-pane boarded ventilator window on the right. There is a stable door with a slate lintel on the right gable end. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
