Description
The Weigh House at Lon-Isaf Gate is a small square-plan building dating from the 19th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed and dressed rubblestone with quoins. The gable-ended slate roof features slate coping and slate slabs at the eaves, creating the appearance of a pediment at each end. The front gable end, which faces at right angles to the road, has a blind round-headed window with voussoirs and a slate cill. This window, similar to one on the opposite cottage, originally displayed a board listing the toll charges. To the right side wall, there is a square-headed blind window with a slate cill and lintel, as well as a boarded door.
