Description
The Smithy, dating from the early 19th century, is constructed from rubble stone and features a massive slate roof that is gabled on the left and has a gable end on the right. The building has an L-shaped plan and is a single storey. On the right side, there is a 9-pane fixed timber casement window. To the left, beneath an asymmetrical gabled projecting wing, are two 2-light centre-hung casements, each with two panes per light, and a triangular stone ventilation opening above. The gable end has an inserted Victorian letter box. There is also a stable door located in the left-hand side wall. A later brick extension is present on the right gable end, topped with a hipped slate roof. The interior appears to be unaltered, although it has not been inspected.
