Description
The agricultural complex at Cwm Main is a T-plan Victorian structure built from rubble with slate roofs. The complex features a central barn, which may date back to the 18th century, with single-storey stable and cowhouse blocks attached to the east and south, respectively, facing a farmyard to the south. A low storage block is connected to the barn on the north side, completing the complex.
The barn has entrances in the center on both the north and south sides, and a hipped gable end on the west. There is a boarded and framed loading bay located at the upper right on the south side. The cowhouse block has five entrances on the east side, with a four-pane window situated between the two furthest entrances on the right. The south gable end is partially open and features corrugated iron cladding on the upper section. The stable block has a hipped gable on the east side and contains four entrances on the south side, all except the second from the right having boarded doors. Plain slate lintels are present throughout the structure. The northern storage block includes a central entrance with a boarded door.
The interior was not inspected during the survey.
