Description
Cafe Cwrt is a building constructed from roughly coursed rubble, topped with a recent slate roof and featuring end wall stacks. The doorway is located to the left of the center, with three upper windows aligned above the entrance and its flanking windows. All windows are currently 2-pane sashes, although they were originally 12-pane sashes, and all openings have rough stone lintels. The profiles of the earlier roof line can still be seen in the gable walls.
Inside, there is a single small room on either side of the central entrance and stair hall. Each room has roughly chamfered axial beams, but there are few early features remaining. A staircase was inserted, likely in the early 19th century, and has since been reconstructed. It is also possible that the building originally had a staircase next to the principal fireplace.
