Description

The Coffee Pot is a three-storey building with two-window fronts, located at Nos 252 and 254, which are constructed of colourwashed coursed rubble, while No 256 features scribed render. The building has slate roofs and cement rendered chimney stacks with stone caps, along with a later dormer window added to No 254. The majority of the windows are 12-pane sash windows with cills, although the glazing bars have been removed from the lower sashes of the first floor in Nos 254 and 256. The shop fronts have been altered and modernized; the entrance to No 252 is broadly splayed with glazed tiling, while No 254 has pilasters and a six-panel door with panelled reveals leading to offices above the shop.

The right end of the building is finished in scribed render and features a small pane sash window. There is also an attached two-storey cross range that is set into the slope of New Ebenezer Place. The left end is rendered and includes a round arched headed window in the gable, made up of twinned 12-pane sashes beneath a fanlight, with additional sash windows located below.

The rear of the building is stepped, with No 256 extending the furthest. Nos 252 and 256 are rendered, while No 254 is constructed of rubble, and all feature small pane sash windows. Modern extensions are not included in this description.
