Description
The Lo-Cost Foodstore is a three-storey building with a two-window facade, featuring scribed render and a slate roof, along with a red brick chimney stack. The building was heightened after the Tower Hotel was rebuilt. It has 9 and 12 pane sash windows, with lugged architraves on the first floor. However, there is a modern overall shop front that is out of character with the rest of the building. The earliest Tower Hotel appears to have been aligned with the other street fronts, as indicated by the chimney breast projection on the left end.
