Description

Nos. 3 and 4 Ffrwd is a long single-storey building with a central section and two equal-height two-storey gabled sections that project at the front. Its basic design is similar to the nearby Ysgol Llandwrog, which was built around the same time. The exterior is made of irregularly coursed rubblestone, featuring slate-stone lintels and cills, and has a renewed slate roof. The front facade is arranged in a 1:2:1 bay pattern, with all windows being wooden, multi-paned, and featuring mullions and transoms. The ground floor windows are in three lights, with the lower sections being vertically sliding, while the smaller windows in the gables are also three-light, mullioned, and transomed. Access to the building is through shallow gabled porches located on the inner returns. There are two rendered ridge stacks on the main range, one on the ridge of the left gable and another to the right of the right gable. The left gable, which is part of No. 4, includes a rooflight on each slope. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
