Description

The Western pair of walled former kitchen gardens at Glynllifon are now used as paddocks. The westernmost garden is smaller and features the Head Gardener's house at its north-west corner, which is listed separately. These two gardens are interconnected, and the central garden links to the separately listed easternmost garden through an underground tunnel.

The gardens are enclosed by rubble walls that are lined with red brick and topped with slate coping. The wall facing the road has a pointed arch doorway near both the north and south ends, along with a central advanced square-headed doorway. The southern doorway features a blue brick arch and double gates, with the wall adjoining the east range of the estate workshops. There are additional arched openings in the transverse and north side walls, including opposing gateways located at the midpoints of the sides.
