Description
The Lodge to Britannia Park is a 19th-century single-storey building constructed from limestone ashlar, topped with a renewed slate roof. It features a 'T'-shaped plan, with the longer arm facing the drive. This arm includes a canted bay window with a hipped roof and a partially external stack on the west side. The entrance is located in the northeast re-entrant angle, featuring an open porch with a two-centred arch and a crenellated parapet made of a darker stone. A continuous moulded string course runs along the building, above which is a low parapet that conceals the gutters. The building has three-light mullioned and transomed windows, along with other single-light windows. There are label mouldings above the doors and window openings, which have dropped ends and carved terminals. The gable ends are coped, and the building is topped with tall square-shafted chimneys.
