Description
Gloriette is a large and imposing classical loggia. It features a triple-arched rusticated podium with a balcony above, which has decorative iron balustrades set between four stone Ionic columns that rise through two storeys. These columns support a dentilated entablature topped with a balustrade and four urns. At the rear of the loggia is a dummy facade with a stucco front, which has two storeys and three windows, along with a central pedimented classical doorway at the balcony level. The sides are sloped with open oculi. The rear elevation includes an applied Ionic porch at the centre, with fluted columns supporting a sloped metal roof. Above this porch is a faux square latticed window.
