Description
Glanrafon is a medium-sized farmhouse built from granite rubble stone, featuring a small-slate close-eaved roof and stone chimneys at each end. The building is two stories high and has a three-window front, which includes 16-pane hornless sash windows and a central door with an overlight that has been renewed in its original opening. The windows are topped with stone slab lintels.
To the left of the main house is a service wing that has a stone stack at the left end and one window in the center on the ground floor, which features 20th-century glazing. The rear north wall has a range of three windows with shallow recessed designs. On the first floor, there are two 12-pane hornless sash windows, along with a central larger stair window of the same type, set lower than the others. The ground floor has a 12-pane hornless sash window on the left and a smaller 9-pane hornless sash window on the right. The north wall of the service range includes a stable door on the ground floor left, with a 20th-century four-pane casement window to the right and a 20th-century nine-pane casement window above.
Inside the service range, there is an inglenook on the west end wall, featuring a large oak bressumer and a sizable domed oven. The interior also includes a substantial oak cross-beam with squared oak ceiling joists, and the north wall has a recess for a window seat.
