Description
Gwnhinger is a farmhouse built from granite rubble stone, featuring stone slab lintels, slate deep-eaved roofs, and stone stacks. It is a substantial two-storey building with a three-window front and end chimneys. The windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, and there is a half-glazed door with an overlight. The left end wall is slate-hung.
To the right, there is a service wing that has a lower roof and a central ridge chimney. This wing includes an 8-12-8-pane horned sash window to the left of center, a French window on the far right, and first-floor 12-pane horned sashes on the far right and center-left, along with a 4-pane sash to the left. The rear of the main house features 12-pane hornless sashes, with two on each floor and one serving as a center stair-light at mid-height.
The service range has a rear door to the right that leads to a passage connecting to the main house, and it includes an attached rear wing with a lower roof line and a central ridge stack. The roof on the northeast side is partly outshut and extends over a glazed 20th-century door. There is one 20th-century window to the right, and on the southwest side, there is a 9-pane loft light to the left of center, along with ground-floor 20th-century casements.
