Description
Plas Penrhyn is a small country villa built in a simplified classical style. It is two stories high and features a three-window range, with a two-story wing set at right angles to the rear and a single-storey central porch at the front. The villa has stucco elevations and a hipped slate roof, which includes tall rectangular rendered end stacks with a stressed drip course and cornice.
The entrance elevation is symmetrically designed with a three-window range, a central porch, and slightly recessed flanking bays. The windows are slightly recessed hornless sashes, with 12-pane windows on the first floor and 6 over 2-pane windows on the ground floor. The porch has the entrance located on the right side and includes a single round-headed light at the front, with slightly stressed angles and a moulded cornice beneath a shallow parapet.
The side elevations feature windows at the rear, with 12-pane sash windows on the first floor and a 19-pane light on the ground floor of the left-hand return, where two panes are side-hung casements. The rear wing has modern windows.
