Description
The commemorative cross at the Church of St Sadwrn is a highly ornate Celtic revival memorial. It features a slightly tapering shaft set on a smooth raking plinth. The front face is decorated with Celtic swirls and naturalistic floral detailing, along with an inscription at the base of the shaft that includes commemorative details. The rear face displays humanistic figures of Christ in relief, with the bottommost panel depicting the Madonna and Child. Above this is a representation of the Crucifixion, topped by Christ in majesty. The base of the shaft has a much weathered inscription.
