Description

Llandegfan Parish Hall is a lofted building designed in the Arts and Crafts style. It features rendered elevations with a plinth course and a slate roof that has advanced eaves and verges, along with rendered stacks topped by brick. The windows are small-paned sash or casements, with up to 7 lights, slate sills, and broad timber lintels.

The original structure has an asymmetrical H-shaped plan, with the entrance located in a gabled porch that has raking walls and exposed timbers at the apex. To the left of the porch is a single window. The right cross wing includes a central advanced stack, flanked by paired ground floor lights and single first-floor windows. The smaller left cross wing features a wide ground floor window with 5 lights, while the first floor has 4 x 8-paned sash windows separated by timber mullions.

The lateral wall of the right cross wing has 3 bays, with the central bay gabled, containing a doorway to the left and a first-floor window of 4 lights in the gable apex. A slate plaque above reads: NEUADD PLWYF / PARISH HALL. The flanking bays have 3-light windows. The rear gable wall has a wide window with 7 lights.

The left cross wing has a lean-to porch along the lateral wall, with a doorway to the left and paired 8-pane sash windows in a gable dormer above; there is also a casement window to the right. At the rear, there is a single-storey gabled addition with a blocked window in the lateral wall.

Behind the main part of the hall is a parallel gabled block. The left gable features 15-paned lights on either side and a small gable stack at the apex. The opposite gable has a wide window with 3 lights, and a slate plaque in the gable apex indicates the date 1922.

The interior was not inspected during the survey.
